Abaca is a type of grass cloth, a perennial herb that can grow up to 8meters high. The petiole contains fibers, which are slender, tough, and lightweight. The colour of the petioles and fibers naturally vary depending on the location of their growth, with the outer layer being the darkest and the inner layer being the lightest giving Abaca a unique colouration and texture that sets it apart.
